1. The School hours are as follows :Monday – Friday 7.45 a.m. – 1.40 p.m. Saturday 7.45 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.
2. Students & Staff are expected to be in school at 7.40 a.m. for the Assembly.
3. At the stroke of the first bell, all stop wherever they are and take the name of God. At the stroke of the second bell, all proceed briskly and in silence to the quadrangle or classroom as the case may be for the morning prayer and assembly.
4. If pupils are constant late for school, they will be fined. Guardians must ensure that punctuality is observed.
5. No pupil may absent herself from school, without leave and no leave will be granted, except on a written application from Parents/Guardian, parents are requested to meet the Principal personally, to explain the reason on all such occasions. However, no leave will be granted for absence, just before or after Dussehara/Deepavali, Christmas and such other holidays or during the first week of a new session. Strict action will be takenfor days of absence.
6. Entries in the School Dairy must be countersigned by the parents/immediate guardians where necessary. In case of longer illness viz, lasting more than three days, the principal should be informed. pupils who are absent for more than a calendar month, without a leave application, will be struck off the rolls. They shall not be readmitted.
7 . Written permission of the principal is required, for a student to leave the school premises.
(i) parents are requested not to ask for their children to come away from school before the school gives over, except in case of real necessity, in which case, permission should be obtained previously in writing.
(ii) It may be noted that children will not be sent home even in an emergency, with any one, who might come for them during school hours, without a written request from parent/guardian.
8. All major permissions, should be obtained directly fromthe Principal.
9. Irregular attendance, habitual illness, neglect of home work, disobedience and disrespect towards members of the staff or bad moral influence justify dismissal. Pupils are responsible to the school authorities, for their conduct, both in and outside the school.
10. Protection of School Property : It is forbidden to write or scribble on the wails, desks, etc. throw paper or ink about the class-room, or in any way damage the school premises. Damage done must be paid for.
11. Objectionable Literature etc. : Students are strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones any sort of comics or objectionable literature into the school.
12. Students are not permitted to purchase any article of food from unauthorised vendors at or near the school premises.
13. Attendance at official school functions, like Sports Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual Priza Distribution Day, Teachers Day, Childrens’ Day etc. is compulsory.
14. Pupil’s Responsibility : Pupils are themselves responsible for their own books, fountain pens,calculators, cycles, cardigans, tiffin-boxes or any other article they may bring to school. No Jewellery to be worn to school. The school is
not responsible for any loss incurred.
15. Only English should be spoken, within the school premises, failing which, the students will be penalised.
16. All Christian students are expected to attend the Annual Retreat and Group Mass when arranged for their class.
17. Every pupil of the school is required to have a copy of the School Dairy. She should moreover, make herself well acquainted with the rules and obey them. The School Dairy must be brought to school every day.
18. Students who are enjoying the benefit of fee concessions, will forfeit this benefit if they fail in the promotion examination. Fee concessions are valid, only for one year at a time. At the beginning of every new academic year, you have to apply again for fee concessions and the same will be granted, after examining the financial situation and other liabilities. “To obey God’s orders as delivered by conscience, that is duty, to obey man’s orders as issued by rightful authority, is Discipline. The foundation of both alike, is denial of self, for a higher good, unless the lesson of duty be first well learned, the lession of discipline, can be but imperfectly understood.”
